March 16, 2020
To our valued clients,
As you may know by now, in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the New Zealand Government has recently set in place several border measures to ensure the health and safety of the country.
These include a 14 day self-isolation period for anyone entering the country from overseas as well as a temporary ban of entry on those traveling from mainland China or Iran.
For the full breakdown of these procedures, please see the following links:
As a business, we are also doing everything we can to ensure the health and safety of our clients while supporting those of you who may be impacted by these new travel restrictions.
With that being said....
For those of you who have appointments or would like to make an appointment to speak with one of our advisers– For the next few weeks, our staff will be working from home. We have decided to cancel all face-to-face appointments and rearrange them to take place either via Skype or telephonically. Outside of this change, it will be business as usual for us!
For those who need to drop off documents– We are requesting you please email or courier your documents to us rather than dropping them off in-person.
For those of you with recently approved work visas and plans to depart for NZ– We recommend you stay closely in touch with your employer regarding your arrival arrangements. At this stage, you will be required to self-isolate for the first 14 days upon entry.
For those who have travel plans– We recognize some of you may have plans to leave NZ perhaps to fetch your family or tie up loose ends. We encourage you to stay in communication with your airlines, remain updated on global travel restrictions, and follow all NZ procedures during this time.
We know this may be a chaotic and confusing time for many of you, especially those of you considering (or in the middle of) the immigration process. Please know our staff will remain readily available to assist you and keep you up to date on any changes. Like previously mentioned, it will remain business as usual– just via remote communication!
Please be assured that our service, guidance and support will be delivered to the same high standard.
All the best,
Walter Stone & The Eagle Migration Team
